Yes, still alive. Just not here much.

Previous years, and posting to keep this place alive."

No 2014 for reasons. I think they had to do with severe depression.
I skipped a lot of years

  1. What did you do this year that you hadn't done before?

  2. I volunteered for a political campaign in an active role. I saw the Grand Canyon. I visited Disneyland. I drove up US 101. I made it to Seattle.
  3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

  4. No. I didn't really have resolutions.
  5. Did anyone close to you give birth?

  6. A couple of cousins.
  7. Did anyone close to you die?

  8. Yes. Who didn't die?
  9. What countries did you visit?

  10. No countries, but added New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Washington state to my list of states visited.
  11. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?

  12. I don't know. More space.

  15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

  16. I road-tripped with my parents and nobody died.
  17. What was your biggest failure?

  18. Donald Trump will be President. I tried to stop it. I volunteered for Clinton. I donated to Clinton's campaign. I phone banked. It wasn't enough.
  19. Did you suffer illness or injury?

  20. No.
  21. What was the best thing you bought?

  28. Magic: The Moneypit and my amateur radio habit.
  29. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

  30. Football. And then the University of Texas at Austin crushed my hopes. Now I need to buy a nuclear bomb to detonate on Austin.
  31. What song will always remind you of 2015?

  32. You know, I really didn't do much *new* music. But instead, I saw original-lineup Black Sabbath life.

  43. Did you fall in love in 2016?

  44. This kind of thing does not happen to me.
  45. How many one-night stands?

  74. Who didn't I miss?
  75. Who was the best new person you met?

  76. Eh.
  77. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2016:

  78. Life sucks and then you die, so fuck the world.
  79. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

  80. Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth
You pull on your finger, then another finger, then your cigarette
The wall to wall is calling, it lingers, then you forget
    Ohhh, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide

You're too old to lose it, too young to choose it
And the clock waits so patiently on your song
You walk past a cafe but you don't eat when you've lived too long
Oh, no, no, no, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide

Chev brakes are snarling as you stumble across the road
But the day breaks instead so you hurry home
Don't let the sun blast your shadow
Don't let the milk float ride your mind
    You're so natural, religiously unkind

Oh no love! You're not alone
You're watching yourself but you're too unfair
You got your head all tangled up
But if I could only make you care

Oh no love! You're not alone
No matter what or who you've been
No matter when or where you've seen
All the knives seem to lacerate your brain
I've had my share, I'll help you with the pain
    You're not alone

Just turn on with me and you're not alone
Let's turn on with me and you're not alone
Gimme your hands 'cause you're wonderful
Gimme your hands 'cause you're wonderful
    Oh gimme your hands

    RIP, Bowie.
