2015 in review

Previous years, and posting to keep this place alive."

I didn't do last year for reasons.
I skipped a lot of years

  1. What did you do this year that you hadn't done before?

  2. I left and then returned to a job.
  3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

  4. No. I didn't really have resolutions.
  5. Did anyone close to you give birth?

  6. No.
  7. Did anyone close to you die?

  8. Yes. My childhood next door neighbor to prostate cancer. A friend from church due to advanced age.
  9. What countries did you visit?

  10. I did not travel this year. I did not even leave Texas. Why? Because I had to pay for last year's trip to Mount Athos.
  11. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?

  12. I don't know. More space.
  13. What date from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

  14. This was kind of a bland year. But the football season was good.
  15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

  16. No more student loans!

  18. I took a job I really shouldn't have.
  19. Did you suffer illness or injury?

  20. No.

  22. I bought very little this year.
  23. Whose behavior merited celebration?

  24. Nobody's.
  25. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

  26. Everyone's. Especially my own. I disappoint me greatly.
  27. Where did most of your money go?

  28. Paying off long-term debts.
  29. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

  30. Football.
  31. What song will always remind you of 2015?

  32. Pretty much all of Taylor Swift's 1989. That was a great album.
  33. Compared to this time last year, are you:

  34. i. happier or sadder? Neither, really.
ii. thinner or fatter? About the same.
    iii. richer or poorer? Richer.
  35. What do you wish you'd done more of?

  36. Anhedonia means never having fun again.

  38. Just plain stupid stuff.
  39. How did you spend Christmas?

  40. With family in Dallas.
  41. How will you be spending New Years?

  42. The same way I always spend New Year's. Trying to take over the world! Sitting at my parents' place. This year, I'm watching a Doctor Who marathon.
  43. Did you fall in love in 2015?

  44. This kind of thing does not happen to me.
  45. How many one-night stands?

  46. This kind of thing really does not happen to me.
  47. What was your favorite TV program?

  48. I didn't watch much new television this year. So basically, it's just The Doctor, My Little Pony, and Hibike! Euphonium. Oh, and football.

  55. What did you want and get?

  56. My loans paid off.
  57. What did you want and not get?

  58. But if you try sometimes, you just might find that you can't even get what you need. (Yes, this is shamelessly repeated from every year.)

  74. I didn't have much to miss.
  75. Who was the best new person you met?

  76. I did not meet new people.

  78. Walking away is always an option.
  79. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

  80. Every day I'm hustlin'.
